Encuesta a los alumnos de medicina de la Universidad de Oviedo: percepción sobre vocación, hábitos de vida y recreaciones, formación y actitudes profesionales

El conocimiento de los condicionantes personales, intereses y p|erspectivas de los estudiantes de Medicina debiera considerarse importante para aproximarse a la realidad docente de nuestra profesión. Sin embargo, existen escasos estudios que consideren y analicen la percepción de los mismos respecto a sus motivaciones, valoraciones del medio académico y sus expectativas laborales. Igualmente, no se dispone de datos sobre sus hábitos de vida y su modo de aprovechar el tiempo libre. Todos estos factores podrían informar y orientar la toma de algunas decisiones en cuanto al modo de plantear la enseñanza, favorecer la relación de los mismos con el sistema universitario y sus profesores y, en definitiva, conseguir una óptima preparación como profesionales médicos. Desde ese planteamiento hemos realizado un estudio observacional mediante encuesta anónima a los estudiantes de nuestra Facultad que considera y analiza el perfil de estas variables en el alumnado, lo que completa y mejora el nivel de información sobre nuestro ámbito docente y la inmediata realidad profesional.
Survey to medical students of the University of Oviedo: perception on vocation, life and recreational habits, professional attitudes and training
The knowledge of the personal conditions, interests and perspectives of medical students should be considered important to approach the teaching reality of our profession. Nevertheless, there are few studies that consider and analyze the perception of the same regarding their motivations, assessments of the academic environment and their work expectations, as well as their opinion about the new study plan. Likewise there is no data about their lifestyle and how they spend their free time. All these factors could inform and guide the decision-making regarding teaching, improving the relationship between the students and the university system and professors and, overall, to achieve optimal preparation as medical professionals. From this approach we have carried out an observational study by means of an anonymous survey to the students of our faculty that considers and analyzes the profile of these variab es in the students of our faculty, which complements and improves the level of information about our teaching environment and the immediate professional reality.
